About Amanda

Hello readers,

A photo of me on the VIMS campus in Gloucester Point.

My name is Amanda Knobloch and I am a graduate student at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science in Gloucester Point, VA. The purpose of my blog is to explain what my research is all about. I will post exciting updates from the field and the lab, with additional posts explaining key concepts from my work (estuaries, biomarkers, carbon cycle, etc.) It is my goal to show the importance and beauty of estuaries and marshes and to show what the life of a marine science graduate student is really like. I hope you will follow along!

Also, I invite you to follow me on Twitter! I regularly tweet about my research, and sometimes even live tweet from the field. You can find me @Taskinas_carbon.

Feel free to tweet me any questions you might have about my research!
